"Warrior 7" has been selected for inclusion in the Hudson Valley Art Association 88th Annual Juried Art Exhibition, and has won the Arthur Harless Memorial award.
In 2016, while in St. Petersburg, FL, I worked with the model Stuart. Our working together produced several drawings and paintings, including "Warrior 7".
The oil toning the panel is from a portrait session a few days before, where I wiped everything off at the end of the session (as is often the case, when working from life).
Art seems to be trying to teach me to use my "failed" endeavors, and make them into something better.
